    A lesson that it is perhaps a good idea not to be a gossip or a tale teller as the punishment might just be more that one can bear. Raven punishes his helper cormorant for revealing his secrets. He steals cormorants voice  by pulling his tongue out and banishes him to live on a lonely rock out at sea.

    This is the story about a lazy good for nothing boy who refuses to help out. He goes and plays with the eagles down at the river's edge. Times get very hard and because of his behavior he is left behind when the villagers go to try and find a better place to live. The boy is left to fend for himself so he befriends the eagle by giving them some pieces of  salmon and in return he is cared for by the eagles. When the villagers return he is a changed boy and eagerly shares the food the eagles have brought him.

Fog woman lonely for her child returns once a year to the head of the stream to visit her daughter.

    This is a story about appreciation and respect.

    A young boy complains about a piece of moldy fish his mother has given him to eat. The salmon from the river hear this and decide to teach the boy a lesson. They capture him and turn him into a salmon and swim with him out to sea where he lives for a season. The spring comes and they return to the area of the boys birth. His parents see a fine salmon leaping in the water and capture him. They discover it is their long lost son and with the shamans magic he is returned to himself. The boy tells all who will listen about how they should honor and respect the salmon.

She is tormented and contrite begging all who come by and see her to take pity on her. No one does until finally she falls into the sea and becomes the sea otter girl. Those who are not wary often fall victim to her vengeance.
